Awesome movies to watch

Okay I'm kind of a movie n00b. don't know what to watch lately.so go ahead recommend your all time favorites. Or post what interesting movies have you watched lately.

    I'm more of a fan of Asian Cinema, always seems to have better scripts that Hollywood?

    Oldboy is a fantastic film, if you can put up with subtitles ..
    Cos I'm a girl LOL I particularly like 'Memories of Matsuko' .. 'Lady Vengeance' & Lady Snowblood.
    And any Tony Jaa movies are awesome ;D

    City of God is a great movie .. again subtitled though ..

    Other than that the only Hollywood movies I'd watch would be in the horror & film genre.
    Maybe the odd comedy, if folks are mentioning it to be good and worth a flick.

    i watched some asian cinema so far. but only old akira kurosawa movies. i'll check yours up

    my all time favorite is Lord of the Rings!

    i love horror movies too. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (remake) and Dark Water are a couple of my favorites

    I'm pretty big on comic-or-game-adaptation movies, but only if they get it right, i.e. Resident Evil, first Mortal Kombat, Hellboy, Blade, etc.

    I'm so bad recommending movies to watch.
    My favorites are horror, war and comedy.

    The last movie I've seen was Easy A, I think it's cool and funny... If you like comedy and teenagers movies lol

    American Beauty
    August Rush
    Big Fish
    Inception
    The Hangover
    Little Nicky
    Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

    Just to name a few that stand out to me, I know I'm missing some really good ones.

    And I agree with Chamber, Lord of the Rings is amazing. Definitely my favorite trilogy. :)

    Alright, this is the list you can't go wrong with. Watch these, if you guys want something in a specific genre, I can give you more. I actually know some great romantic comedies, but won't list them here.
