KoRn + Brian Welch

Since Head left the band KoRn sounds different, still awesome, but different...
Can you imagine if KoRn records a new album with Brian Welch "Head"?

I miss Head. Ever since he left the band, the guitar work feels inspired and flat. Don't get me wrong, Munky is a great guitarist and I like their new material, but I think it is defiantly time for Head to come back. The thing that kept Korn III from greatness was the lack of Head. Sorry, but you can't create a "old-school" Korn album without Head.

In my opinion, Head should consider coming back to the band. If not, Korn should at least find a replacement for him.

Im glad Head left, the guy wanted to die and his 5 year old daughter was going around singing ADIDAS.If he had not wanted to be a good father for his daughter he would probably be dead. If you dont understand how miserable he was, and how much happier he is today, read his books.
In his most recent book Stronger, he said he will never return to KoRn, like it or not, its what he said.It would be cool, but I doubt it will ever happen.

I also dont think KoRn will ever have that old skool sound without Head. When I listen to Head and then K3, It sounds rather clear to my ears what KoRn needs again..Head. I still like KoRns stuff, and I think this new dubstep experiment has potential, but will they ever truly return to sounding like 94' again...imo, no.

Also, JD is a lot older than he was in '94. His voice has changed with age and is more 'polished' from years of experience. The band is still going strong because it progresses, experiments, goes through changes and works with whatever obstacles hits it (and of course the extreme talent of it's members!).

I love the old korn stuff but also love the new stuff. Like head, that exact first album sound is not something they will likely ever achieve again and that's fine because one of the great things about this band is that not all their albums sound the same. No matter what your mood, chances are one of the albums will suit it. :)

I was at a Head show a few days ago and there was basically a Q&A and it sounded like he isn’t interested in rejoining Korn at all, but Head said that he would just really like to be friends with the guys again and have a BBQ. It would be awesome if they got back together, but I don't think it'll happen...

Feronea: I agree. My husband and I were listening to Korn in reverse order the other night. Started with KIII and went backwards. I have my die-hard favorite albums, but I love them all.

    Awesome :)

I'm actually doing something similar at the moment. I can't sleep so watching korn film clips, trying to keep them in order of release

Feronea: Sucks when you can't sleep, but watching live clips is a great way to pass that time! LOL The funny thing is I've always been a huge music fan, but one with a short attention span. It's a rare thing for me to own more than 2, sometimes even 1 cd of any artist that I've ever liked. So I guess Korn is the Adderall for my musical ADD, because I actually have all of theirs. I don't even have very many Prince cds, and I've been a fan since I was 7, when 1999 came out on the radio LOL

I am down for it. Head's music already sounds like Korn anyway.
    Does it make me bad??

I miss Head .. it would be amazing IF he returned to Korn..
    But he isn't going to.

I miss also Head, and David too.
The actual KoRn is great (see that, when we talk about there's actual KoRn and old KoRn... ^^ ) but I miss old KoRn, when all the band, the family was here...

But it could happen I think, look at Iron Maiden... :)
I'm still thinkin' that Head will be back, caus' he's still playin' KoRn's songs, and the band is not the same now since he quits. He was hating what the band was, the lifestyle. But it's different now.

If he come back, David will return too I think.

For the sound of KoRn - and I think it's why Head left also - there is too much production in the new sounds, clearly. They had to do a sound with no effects, and recording at the Indigo Studio, again !!! :)

Yeah it would be great if he came back. I respect his decision for what he did; and he had to do it as he was a mess ( reading his book).

But I do miss the straight up 2 guitar genius chemistry between Head and Munky; and just bass and guitars. Really not into all the synth FX stuff. KoRn III is pretty good, but not 1st to last song. I like maybe 4 songs those I love. Untitled I think was too....I dunno off. Live now as I have commented before; there is too much synth/FX in the background and it over shadows the guitars. I loved the earlier shows when you can hear those 2 7 strings just cut like a buzzsaw. :)

It's kind of like Jesus and the Devil shaking hands-it could never happen again. I'm greatful Head's alive and Korn's still going strong. I'm greatful like Aerosmith, you can't tak away their first handful of albums no matter how much their new albums pale in comparison.
But spiritually,Head would not be comfortable playing songs like Fagget and A.D.I.D.A.S. live, especially Good God.

I really don't think it's going to happen. Like ever.

Head is doing his own thing now and as far as I know he has absolutely no desire to join forces with Korn, even if it's for one project. And even if he did, it just wouldn't be the same. They're all different now. Things change, you know?

So what is up with all the rumors of Head's financial issues? Is it really true that he is having problems? I did not Google anything; but saw he tweeted that people are talking lies about his financial issues.

I would think he would be set for life with the publishing from all the albums he played on; the credits go to all the members. Then again it does not mention the "publishing" royalties. That is where the real money goes.

If I recall correctly. With Nirvana. Kurt had 100% of Lyric royalties and had 75% of music royalties leaving Dave and Krist 25% to split; which again if I recall, caused some tension in the band.

In his book he said he reluctantly gave a lot of his money to churches and charities etc. and got it back. After awhile it's very possible he gave a lot and got nothing back and is having financial trouble.

The only reason of a Head's return, iz like he said, if god say it to him....

"If I ever felt God lead me back to KORN for some reason, I'd go," he said.

    So... Let's pray !!! lol :)

Seriously I miss Head AND David.

Tha actual band is great, Ray too. But I miss them. I miss the original band in fact.
