Would you stop listening to an artist's music if they did something you didn't like?

I'll make this brief but would your enjoyment of an Artist's music change if they did something you didnt like? I stopped listening to Korn after POT because of what Jon said about Obama and Illuminati. I dont agree with what he said and ever since I just cant find any enjoyment out of their music. Its like when a person says one thing and does another. What do you think? Have you had any similar experiences?

Nahhh probably not. I used to worship the guys in korn when I was younger and viewed them as Gods especially Jonathan. I don't even remotely view any of them like that anymore and am in it just for the damn good music. I don't see them as people I can relate to any longer and can't imagine what they could do to make me hate them enough not to listen. I don't care about the stuff Dave said about the band i.e Jonathan saying fuck the fans and just trying to make music that sells. Even if he did say that idc at this point, maybe when I was younger but not now.

The only thing that deters me from listening to certain cds of theirs is the fact that they hired pop producers and song writers for SYOTOS and Untitled. I don't know whats korns and whats the song writing teams when I listen to them and to me that's beyond fake. That's where I cant listen to the band. Any by that I mean those cds, even that couldn't turn me off to Korn.

I didn't care when korn allowed song writers to write on SYOTOS and Untitled, but idc, also what Jon said about Obama its his opinion, to allow opinions affect what we listen too is...wrong, its just an opinion so what.

I wouldn't stop. I don't personally know the guys in Korn, I respect them as musicians and love their music. Not listening to their music because of what they do or say in the press or wherever else is straight silly. I wouldn't boycott (hed) p.e. just because Jared Gomes is a dumbass stoner who immerses himself in 9/11 conspiracy theories.

Nope never if I like an artists sound and music I wont stop listening to them. for example Im a huge fan of Marilyn manson and rob zombie but after hearing what rob zombie did to manson I didn't like that. that and he was bit of an ass when I met him. however that does not stop me from liking his movies or music. I still love his music/movies.

I see what you mean, thanks for all the replies by the way. I guess I have a hard time separating the two. Just taking it as entertainment I can see why it doesn't bother others, that's what its made for anyway. I suppose even though the music, or any form of entertainment for that matter is a reflection of the creator. But since its just entertainment it means nothing, or it has a much meaning as you give it. I'll give this some more thought, theirs probably some stuff artist I do like have done that I might not like and I don't even know it.

Again thanks for the responses, it gave me some new perspective.

I met a few artists who were not really nice. That experience changed my feelings about their music. The only thing that would stop me from listening to an artist is hate speech and rude comments about fans. That's about it.
    Does it make me bad??
