I'm so excited to hear the new album! It's being released on November 15 which is four days before my birthday. What have you guys heard about it so far?

I will listen to it of course but don't have high hopes for it. I hope we hear 7 string low A buzz riffs. I probably am the only one that thought Korn III was great. Totally had the old vibe and tone of munky using a Marshall and the "Bigger Muff PI" pedal they used on the first two records. JMO :)

i actually loved the Korn III Album i listened to it non stop for almost a week...i really hope they have another one like that again. it def brought back the old school korn sound

    Hi All,

On the second page of the press release, Munky say's he couldn't wait to get to the studio and finish the songs and if you Google Fieldy and The Path of Totality you get a video of Revolver interviewing Fieldy. In this interview, at the end, Fieldy talks about the whole new sound. He sounds excited. Neither one is all, love it, love it, gush, but they don't sound like it was forced on them. JD was the last member in Korn ('cept Ray, but I'm talking Original 5), so I don't think he runs the show like Billy Corgan or something. Come on November 12th and December 6th.

No, you're not, sir :-). I love that album. I've always said that if it had been released in the 90s people would consider it a classic. But now whatever KoRn does in its old style, people consider forced. For me KoRn III was more Kornish than TALITM.

Having said that, I also like the fact that they experiment, so I don't really have anything against a dubstep album.

Just because he was the last member doesn't mean he couldn't "take the wheel" over the course of almost 20 years... However, I felt kind a relieved when I read your post :).

Get Up was my soundtrack of the summer. Great vibe. When I first heard Narcissistic Cannibal I was even more blown away. I can't wait to hear the new album!

"Narcissistic Cannibal" is epic. I can't wait to hear the rest of the album.

    Is this my overture,
    or obituary?

Are you guys abandoning Nu-Metal? If you do that.. Flymore will surely take your place. What DO you think about Flymore doing tours with your KoRn Banner up behind them on stage? Or do you even know about it?

As I have been commenting I was terrified of the dub step shit. But then again I have to realize I used to love NYC techno/house music back in the day. I still hate Get up! But I must say NC is very catchy after a few listens. At least it has some guitars. But I still think this is more a JD idea/conception.

I am still trying to figure what Munky was saying about changing his tuning to F Sharp as I was expecting it to be played the usual with a Low A string tuning. Maybe on this album he is playing 6 strings on it or tuned up his 7 strings to F sharp. I guess I can kinda hear it in NC as I don't hear any low A chords or notes. So maybe the low chord I am hearing in the chorus is in F sharp. I will play along with my Apex's and see if I can figure out the chords. /boring guitar babble. :)

Wes Geer said one of the new songs, "Way Too Far", has eight-string guitar.

    Is this my overture,
    or obituary?
