Will dubstep stay or be a one time thing
So my husband and I are debating that korn will continue to do more dubstep and become a techno band but I said its just an experiment and they will go back to normal. (he does not like korn, I know what's wrong with him lol). So what do you all think or have heard will they become dubstep or is this a one time thing

Korn never became dubstep. POT is a Korn album. Their eleventh album might borrow some of the same electronic elements, but I'd like for them to work with only one producer like Brendan O'Brien or Nick Raskulinecz.

First of all, you gotta get a new husband. :P
I think that this is just a temporary thing but some influences of dubstep will stay in Korn' sound, as everything they experimented with leaved traces in their sound. They have been experimenting with it through their whole career, sometimes with more success and sometimes with less. I think that it's the best part of Korn, always looking for new sound, always trying to do something better and be unique.
It's all the matter of taste. IMO Path of Totality is better than Remember Who You Are and in range with untitled one, despite dubstep gives me nausea (literally, it does. It's like a kryptonite to me). :)

I think that they are Nu Metal, and will continue to be Nu Metal. What ever they feel that that means to them at the time!

I agree with the above, is this not why we listen and love Korn, from the very start they have been pleasuring us with fresh metal

I can see another album somewhere down the line of either dubstep or something along those lines. I think that they will continue with their original sound mostly, though. Either way, I will listen. :)

Dubstep has been around for 5+ years and the great thing about Korn is their ability to allow themselves to be open and influenced by other genres of music. I would hate for each album to sound exactly like the previous...

I really hope they do another one, I really love Path and wonder how some people can't. To each their own, I know but... It's so hard not to love it.

i hope the go back to normal i am not loving this new cd and a friend got my tour tickets i yet to tell her about this cd ! i just hope the play old stuff a lot lol

I know what you meant, "old Korn". I just wanted to point out that "new Korn" is still normal.

lol ok yeah you know what i ment i been a fan for a very very very long time now . and this is the 1st time they done anything like this . i seen them try out dif kinds of metal . i'm shore no mater what the play it will be good
