Your First Korn Concert Experience!

Tue, Jun 28, 2011 at 10:13 AM

My first Korn concert should have been during their Life is Peachy tour but Munky had gotten sick so they cancelled. I got my chance (thanks to my cousin Zinnia) to see them a year later in Houston during their Follow the Leader tour. It was an amazing show! Hed-Pe and Orgy were the opening bands. Jay and Paige autographed my red Korn t-shirt which years later my now ex-wife accidently sent to the Salvation Army ***mental picture of a somalian kid wearing it***. They played a good setlist such as Kill You, My Gift to You, Dead Bodies Everywhere, and the regular touring tracks they play. I remember first getting there I was getting my floor bracelet and when walking towards the floor entrance some pothead approached me asking if I wanna sell my ticket? Even after being marked and scanned! Go figure I guess...I said no and he just stood there looking into oblivion. Overall the concert experience is one I still haven't forgotten and will never! For that whole year I was the most hated person in my small town because I had gone to the concert. Would have been better to receive a leaving or welcome back party like Longfellow Deeds but not in my small U.S./Mexican Border town. Its not really difficult to sort out those who know English or Spanish here. The English Kids would ask "Hey how was the Korn Concert?" while the Hispanic kids would ask, "how wass el concerto de Elote (spanish for Corn)?" LOL :D. Awwwww....a good times they were! :D Do you remember your first time? :D

I will never forget my first KORN concert! It was back in 1998, Family Values Tour with Orgy, Rammstein, Limp Bizkit, and Ice Cube. It was an amazing show, and about 5 months later I saw them again for the Rock is Dead tour with Rob Zombie. Best times of my life!!

oh and FVT 98 was an arena tour ;)

KoRn was my FIRST concert ever. I saw them with Zombie back in ~98. It was f'n awesome! That was also back in the day when I had to get the parents to take me to concerts. I once won tickets to a KoRn show on the radio the night/early morning before the show which was over 2 hour drive that I got the parents to drive me and a friend to \m/.

I wish I could figure out all of the KoRn shows I have ever been too. Is there an archive of all of the past tours and dates somewhere?

Last.fm can help you out for most of the shows probably.
When you go to an artist page there you can go to tour dates and they have a pretty big archive of older shows (even from before that website was around) on there.

Haha, cool...your 2nd Korn show was my first then! Couldn't make it to FVT. Almost went to Lollapalooza, they weren't there anyway since Munk got sick before the Dallas show...and almost caught them with Megadeth but ended up doing something else (before I really knew about Korn

My first one was this year in June and it wasn't even a pure Korn-concert, it was a festival. Although I was busy escaping the circle pits it was alot of fun and made me turn into a Korn-fan. Unfortunately such concerts are highly addictive, can't wait for the next one*

My first time seeing Korn was on July 15, 2011 at ROCK USA in Oshkosh, WI. It was fuckin' awesome until the fuckin' sound system went out in the back. Lots of pissed off fans. I'm sure that KoRn heard us booing and it wasn't at them. We were pissed about the sound going out. I was so damn psyched that they were going to be there. It was a fuckin' excellent experience. Just wish that I could have been closer to the stage but that was reserved for the lame ass VIP ticket holders. That section was pretty much empty while the people behind the fuckin' fence were rockin' it out. KoRn was totally fuckin' awesome though. Got some awesome photos too. Jonathan looks DAMN good in a kilt. He can really blow those bagpipes too. It was totally fuckin' awesome to see them for the first time. My life is complete! :)

I knew KoRn for a long time, since 1993-1994. But I'm in France, you know. And for one year, the only thing I had in my head were the songs that I've heard at this party were a guy bring back the demo KoRn had made (back in 93), and the first european tour they made was in 96 for the life is peachy tour... But I was sick and I missed it......

So the first concert was in 2000 for the Issues Tour, in Lyon France. Mass Hysteria (a french nu-metal band) and P.O.D. were opening. But after P.O.D., Mass Hysteria cancelled, and we (my best friend and me) had to wait one hour after...! The longest hour of my entire life, lolll...

And KoRn arrived... my heart was beating so strong... The first that I saw was Head, on the left of the scene, he started playin falling away from me.... Sooo magic !! And then Munky, Fieldy, Mike Bordin (David was injured) and finally Jon... I started cryin', and I was so happy, I could doin' what I want, headbangin', leave all my pain... I was free... My friend say to me (and all the times I'm goin' to a KoRn show it's like that) that I wasn't the same as he knows me (I knew him from 1 year old, it's like my brother)...

After the show, we waitin' in the place, waitin' for the band like 30mns, but they didn't come.. We were 10 to wait... Finally, we leave the arena from the backstage. I was walkin', and I saw a man, hidden on the right, it was Munky, at 10 meters... I shouted to him "great show brother!', he said "thanx man!' After, I leave and at my right, again, there was a guy... It was Sonny of P.O.D., he was goin' to the tour bus... I spoke with him 2 mns... Really cool man, really ! I asked him if I could go in the tour bus, ahah !

It was really good, really. It would be better if I had be abble to met all the band, but it was good for me!
Today, all the times (it's the road to go to the skatapark of my town) I pass right here, i'm thinking of it !

I first saw Korn in June 2004 in Glasgow, Scotland.

I saw three of my favourite bands that day all for the first time, Slipknot, Korn and Metallica.

The 'negative' thing I took from that day was that Slipknot played before Korn and it since it was the first time seeing them and they are my all time favourite band I went a little too mental with the windmill head banging and by the time Korn came on I couldnt move my head or neck at all, so more or less spent just watching korn instead of going ape sh*t like I planned.

    good stuff

after being a fan for a few years i was finally able to see them for the first time during their Pop Sux Tour in 2002 in Sacramento, CA. i was 14 years old and had awesome seats close to Head and Fieldy's side. Trust Company and Disturbed opened. to this date i think it's still the craziest Korn concert i've ever been to, the crowd went absolutely nuts. Korn opened their set with Here to Stay, at the time that may have been the happiest i had ever felt in my life, lol. i was in shock. a few standout songs i remember them playing were No One's There, Alone I Break and Dead Bodies Everywhere. best concert ever.

my first korn experience was in 94 when they opened up for marylin manson and danzig, i went to see manson didnt know who korn was they came on did their set and i was blown away i instantly said they are my new favorite band and they have been ever since after the show they were in the lobby greeting fans as they walked out and signed autos its amazing that after all these years they still are very fan friendly, lets hope they can keep the korn train rollin for many years to come

I am an obsessed insane die hard Korn fan and have now seen korn live 20 times starting in 1994 all the way up until now. The very first korn show I saw was at First ave. in mpls mn and they were opening for sick of it all. It was so sick, Jonathan was wearing a red adidas outfit and did alot of awesome freak outs. I was in love. Then saw them 2 weeks later as they opened for Marilyn Manson and Danzig at Roy wilkins in St.Paul Mn. It was amazing!!!! I think the 3rd show will always be my favorite as it was for the life is peachy tour. Limp bizkit and Helmet were the opening bands. Korn had the disco balls and the blow up dolls hanging from the ceiling and jonathan had on his green sparkly adidas outfit on, I want that track suit!!! I still remember every show and still have all my ticket stubs put away. I cant wait for this upcoming tour.
