KORN RETURN TO THE ROAD FOR SECOND LEG OF
“PATH OF TOTALITY” TOUR

KILL THE NOISE TO SUPPORT SEVERAL DATES AS WELL AS
FRONTMAN JONATHAN DAVIS DEBUTING HIS J DEVIL DJ SET

Fresh off the hugely successful first round of live dates in support of their recently released album THE PATH OF TOTALITY (Roadrunner Records), KORN are returning to the road for the second leg of the Path of Totality Tour. The new batch of dates kicks off February 23 in Detroit, running through the mid-west before heading back west and wrapping up March 3 in San Francisco. Kill the Noise will provide support on certain dates, while KORN frontman Jonathan Davis will also debut his brand new DJ set as his J Devil alter ego.

Special pre-sale tickets and VIP packages will be available starting tomorrow, Wednesday, January 18 at 3 PM local time at www.KORN.com. Tickets for most shows go on sale to the general public this weekend.

Featuring the current Top Five active rock single “Narcissistic Cannibal,” THE PATH OF TOTALITY is another experimental chapter in KORN's rich canon and history. The album finds the groundbreaking, influential and multi-platinum band shifting gears, taking a bit of a creative left turn (something they've been known to do throughout the course of their two-decade career) and exploring thrilling new territory with some of the hottest emerging producers and talent in the burgeoning electronic scene. The album debuted Top 10 on the Billboard charts and was met with critical applause thanks to the band’s ability to remain fresh and relevant while collaborating with electronic producers Skrillex, 12th Planet, Kill the Noise, Excision, Flinch, Noisia, Datsik, Downlink, Feed Me and more.

KORN—Jonathan Davis [Vocals], James “Munky” Shaffer [Guitar], Reggie "Fieldy" Arvizu [Bass] and Ray Luzier [Drums]—were recently profiled in the New York Times' Sunday section, celebrated for their ability to embrace dubstep. THE PATH OF TOTALITY has garnered praise and buzz, while being featured in NME, SPIN, Electronic Musician and Revolver, where it was named “Album Of The Year,” as well as on tastemaker sites such as RollingStone.com and Hype Machine. Daniel Kohn of the LA WEEKLY raved about KORN’s recent record release event—which took place in December 2011 at the world-famous Palladium in Hollywood, CA, and featured the band alongside many of the producers on the album—calling it as “unique a show as I’ve ever seen.”

Fans can check out the band's track-by-track breakdown of the album here.

PRAISE FOR ‘THE PATH OF TOTALITY’

“…dubstep’s slithering textures actually suit Davis’ demented croon, particularly in the cuts produced by Skrillex, who’s known Korn since his teenaged days as Sonny Moore (in the metalcore act From First to Last). For ‘Narcissistic Cannibal,’ he accentuates the band’s tortured-kid melancholy, while ‘Chaos Lives in Everything’ grinds with convincing menace. (Lead single ‘Get Up!’ is plain old block-rockin’ fun, with Davis ordering everybody to shut the fuck up over Skrillex’s robot-barf beat.)…Excision and Downlink provide the hardest-hitting groove in ‘My Wall.’ And for ‘Way Too Far,’ a march-tempo monster mash, 12th Planet jacks the bass and Davis reveals something else that he realized he could add to this fucking motherfucker: an auctioneer’s spiel.”
–Mikael Wood, SPIN, December 2011

“The track is a banger! First, I tip my hat off to the guys of KORN for diving into a new territory of music although I was skeptical at first and I’m grateful KORN didn’t neglect their original sound. Secondly, Skrillex and Kill the Noise are animals on this track. It works! It’s fresh material that music lovers wouldn’t expect.”
–Raven Wright, MAGNETIC (Online), October 18, 2011

“…the Bakersfield, CA stadium rock band have made a huge leap of faith on their forthcoming tenth album, The Path of Totality, collaborating with dubstep masters Skrillex, Noisia, 12th Planet, Feed Me, Excision, Downlink, and others.…Korn’s inspired performance went straight for the jugular….Ten albums into their career and Korn is intentionally walking the artistic tightrope between two genres that share a bombastic quality.”
—Darren Ressler, BIG SHOT (Online), 11/7/11

"...a set of eleven tracks that don’t pander to either genre’s affectations and instead meld into one loud, aggressive, angry rager. Heavy, scratchy bass grounds the band’s token drum-kit and undercuts Davis’ signature vocals. The shrill computer-made melodies mirror the onslaught of guitars too. There’s a weird understated balance to the whole thing that stems from a combination of production know-how and solidarity in the underground. The mutual sense of rage may have something to do with it too." — Puja Patel, MTV HIVE (Online), 11/9/11

i don't understand those short tours.
15 dates in europe, 9 dates in the US.
you don't want to promote the new album?
i don't have chance to see you, because you skipped central europe, so i go back and listening the cd-s. i hope you come back to europe at the summer and do a normal tour, not an UK-Germany tour, and not shitty festivals with gh setlist.
