Cimex lectularius, generally referred to as bedbugs are miniature reddish-brown parasites which Prey on human and animal blood. In 40's and 1950's, these parasites were completely Expunged from America due to regular use of pesticides during those times. Later, more specific pesticides; designed to kill only one type of insects were invented but they Turned out to be ineffective in working with bedbugs. This facilitated their rebirth in USA. Emigrants from some other continents and Americans who travelled to bedbug inhabited areas were the other reasons why these parasites found their way back once again to America. more
