Going over 60 in a Jeep...

I read Wind Dancer's blog about her Jeep a second ago. Struck me as funny because I drive what she gave up for her Jeep while my hubby has a Jeep. I had to drive it this morning which I usually enjoy, just don't like driving it over 60mph, 'cause it makes me feel like the freakin thing will flip over if I hit a random shoe just right. Talk about white knuckles...

However his cd player works and that makes a big difference, plus he had Issues in there already. Korn makes it easier for me to go over 60mph in a Jeep LOL Too bad I tend to forget to turn the volume down before I shut off the engine. I'm sure he got a face-full of "Counting" when he started it to go to work....

I apologize I did not see your reply to me until now, I am happy you were not offended with my reply. :)

I hope you will far more success with your Hummer than mine, that is it will Hum until you decide you want to get rid of it, instead of the other way around.

I do miss my Hummer; however, my Jeep is bringing me a greater joy. I never went wheeling in my Hummer, because of his issues, but my Jeep is taking me there-wheeling/camping, which sure is making difference to my world. In addition, the Jeep is doing a lot better on fuel than the Hummer.

Forever to love my Kashmir (Hummer) though at least I can say I owned my dream vehicle. :)

Your right I am fine, I move forward with the change. :)

Zack: LOL! Better to be startled in the driveway than on the highway, yeah?

Wind Dancer: Hey, no worries. I'm certainly not offended...to be clear, when I say it struck me as funny I didn't mean to imply laughing at you or your situation, not at all. I only meant funny as in coincidence. Change IS hard, we've had our share of automobile woes. Hummer is ok for now, but when it starts to go south, that's it. Parts ARE becoming obsolete and as much as we love it we won't be chasing them down. It's time and expense that we personally can't justify in order to keep it. You're absolutely right about people presuming that anyone that drives one must be wealthy, that's certainly not our case LOL Just happened to be in the right place at the right time for a good deal. I hope you enjoy your Jeep, and however hard the change is I'm sure you'll be fine. You seem to have a pretty good sense of humor and that helps a lot of situations =) Have a great weekend!

Hey I am sorry, I realize I took your post to the extreme. I am just fucking hurt everywhere right at the moment; everything rubbing me wrong. I love my Kashmir and Michael, both of which are out of my life, it just fucking hurts. I want the pain to go away.

Ok, I am going to practice what I preach, I am going to go cheer up, securing my happiness, it is what it is. Whatca going to do little Ms. Wind Dancer. I am going to go dance in the wind.

Glad you found humor, enlightening you with my blog; however, I would not laugh too much , because you may find yourself in the same situation as I. ???? Driving a Jeep! YIKES! I apologize for my assertiveness; however this is a sore spot, while I love 'change' I am not really loving this one, because I am a HUMMER WOMAN! In more way than one. LOL

I did not want to give up my Kashmir (Hummer); however, when push comes to shove, you have to shove back. When I bought my Hummer he had issues (now that is funny 'issues'). Quite the nightmare I lived through, the dealership ganged banged me hard and it did not even feel good (damn it!) I discovered when I was forced to direct my attention elsewhere to get someone to shoot honesty my way and help repair him, without the thinking just because I have a Hummer I am rich (which society in general thinks when you have a Hummer) Once I did, I found parts are becoming obsolete for these machines and when you do find them, you gouged big time. During the 18 months I owned Kashmir I put $4, 000 in him. He continued to have an issue, and I had no desire to fork out another $4, 000 again. (Parts cost a lot more than labor).

This has been extremely disheartening for me. Kashmir was an extension of my life. Deal with it and I am but I am not liking it too much. The Jeep I bought, just FYI, has a longer wheel base then the two doors (mine is 4) and really is no different from driving Kashmir. SOOO........I am laughing back at you, because you just do not know. HA HA

I may just learn to love my Jeep, and will find out more tomorrow when I wheel with it. Time will tell, until then I did what I had to do. Merely for the fact I do not have a husband/boyfriend to help me carry the plate of life, had this been the case I would still have my Kashmir. My pocketbook would be bigger.
