KORN LIVE AT ROSELAND BALLROOM NYC 11/4/2011
I got the chance to see KoRn (for the second time in my life) LIVE this past Friday night in NYC at Roseland Ballroom. The line to see the show wrapped around the block! The place was PACKED! The 3 opening Dubstep/Rap artists had a lot going against them with this New York crowd. All 3 opening acts got booed ! I kinda felt bad for them. The dubstep music that was played by these artists for what it is, is good! Well, not the first act. They were horrible! I can't even remember their name. Once KoRn came on the place went fucking insane! KoRn opened with "Predictable" . JD looked like he did way back in the day when KoRn first came out in the early 90's. I have to say he's lost a lot of weight! He even went shirtless for the remaining old-schools songs. When KoRn started to play the new songs from P.O.T. the crowd was mixed. Some loved it and some started to chant "Bullshit".Once the band went threw 4 new songs they began to play the fan favorites which was kicked of by "Here To Stay". "Another brick In The Wall "was played as well. After Another Brick In The Wall the band started their encore after a few minutes break. They, began with "Shoots and Ladders" and ended with "Blind". All in all the show for me at least was the best show I've been to yet. I loved the fact they played old songs they haven't ever played live or haven't played live in some time . I enjoyed the new songs as well. And the fan favorites were way better this time than the last time i saw them. JD did tell the crowed to opening up their minds to new music. I guess it was in response to the boos the openers got and that KoRn got for some of the new songs. I can't wait to see them again!
