Catching up

Wow I havn't been on for a long time, well anyways who saw the grammys? Metallicas performance was amazing. Finally the grammys are accepting metal once more. For those of you who don't know Mteallica was one of the first world wide accepted metal bands and the first metal band to perform on the grammys. I believe although I could be wrong it was somewhere around 1987-1989ish. I loved how Black Sabbath won an award for best rock/metal performance even though they were up against King Diamond. Although I wonder who in their right mind would let Ozzy start off talking when announcing the next performance. I was kinda mad how they ran the credits over Trent Reznor (by the way if anyone knows what the name of the song Nine inch nails performed please let me know).

Anyways just found out that KoRn released their new music video today havn't seen it yet but I'm sure it will be great. I need to be filled in on whats been happening to KoRn for the last few months.

I don't know if any of you guys heard this but on February 4th at 5:30 pm Brian "Head" Welch's nephew or cousin was kidnapped and held hostage until February 5th 11:00 am. He was not harmed so that's good. I'm happy he was found and is now safe back with his family.

In an unrelated topic I'm staring to get into Black metal. KoRn is still my all time favorite band though. Anyways I was wondering if you guys have any band suggestions for me. I already started listening to Children of Bodom, Cradle of Filth, Arch Enemy, Dimmu Borgir, Mayhem and King Diamond. (Someone told me he was black metal although I'm not too sure about that)

Last but certainly not least I was very sad to hear of Motley Crue's final tour, which will be with none other than Alice Cooper. However they are not breaking up, they will still be making albums. Although when I went to buy tickets for there last show where I am it was all sold out. I was hoping that would've been my first concert but I guess I had back luck. Love the Crue.

If you made it this far I want to thank you for not reading the first two sentences and then ditching me. I really appreciate it. And as for my info on my profile I'm working on an album right now by myself, although I don't know how to play bass or drums so I'll be learning them while writing. Already have 62 pages full of lyrics, an album cover, and 3 intsrumental guitar songs. Wish me luck and I wish each and everyone of you the best in life.

    I read the whole post.

Yeah, it sucks that they cut through Trent Reznor's performance. I didn't catch the Grammy's, but I believe the song you're wondering about was Nine Inch Nails' 'Copy of A'.

The video for 'Spike in My Veins' is awesome. A lot of focus on Rob Ford. I love that guy, he's a hoot.

I read about Head's cousin's kid on Twitter. That was fucked up, but I'm glad the kid is safe.

King Diamond is considered black metal by many. I take categorisation with a grain of salt. I laughed when I read that Gene Simmons from Kiss tried to sue Diamond over his makeup. For a King Diamond fan, I suggest checking out Mercyful Fate.

As for Motley Crue... I don't know. I can't imagine them retiring from touring for too long. I always thought they'd keep pushing and pushing, like the Rolling Stones (who SHOULD retire). It just doesn't seem right.

Best of luck with the album!!

    Cheers.
