Child of the KoRn is born!

I'm a new member of the KoRn website and I thought I'd throw my bit into the maelstrom of blogs, discussions and chat (although I'm not new to the site, I still remember hearing 'Here to stay' for the first time on here). I'm really chuffed with the news about KoRns new album with Head back in the band, I'm intrigued to see what the follow up to the awesome Path of Totality will be like but knowing KoRn I'd say probably something different whilst feeling familiar at the same time.... I've been a fan since '98 and I feel these guys have shaped my musical taste, I'm a big metal fan but also a fan of other genres and personally I consider KoRn a prog band, the ability to try different angles with their music and still kick absolute ass is amazing and keeps me passionate about them. Although admittedly they are my favourite band so although I consider my opinion well formed It still biased!

I even had this back in the day, baby hugh heff:

My ultimate dream would be for KoRn to play at my wedding when I get married to my beautiful fiancée this year, I know it'd never happen but It's a frequently visited day dream I have as growing up into a adult listening to them in the good times and the bad have made them a part of me. I will be playing KoRn at our wedding reception, I even managed to get a song of theirs (Good God) played at my friends wedding (who is also a big fan but severely whipped, haha).

I feel like a closing statement is in order... 2013 is an excellent year, and I look forward to seeing what the future holds!

Thanks, I'm pretty sure they debuted here to stay on here, It was certainly the first time I heard it and it was definitely before untouchables had been released.

Yeah their sound changing keeps them fresh in my opinion, if every subsequent album after follow the leader was the same sound I don't think they'd be the band they are today. I do wonder if the new album will have any influence from the path of totality and perhaps there'll be a song or two with a bit of wub-wub on it but then saying that I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't!

i know exactly what you mean about korn's sound changing and still sounding the same, it's great that they can do that.

Quite an introduction. I actually am new to the site in general and got into them maybe five years ago. They debuted "Here to Stay" on here?
