Yet another interview
So I was called this morning for an interview at the Subway not far from my house and this time I'm hella nervous!!! The last two interviews I went to I was calm and collected which doesn't seem to have worked in my favor considering neither place bothered to even let me know whether or not the position had been filled even though I called to find out specifically. Because of the double rejection I'm feeling overly desperate with this job and who knows maybe that will work in my favor! Maron starts his job this Thursday, it was supposed to be last Thursday but Georgia got hit with an ice storm this time instead of another snow storm like the previous one. The ice caused them to be forced to postpone the orientations until the following week. Which sucks but hey at least he still has the job coming in the first place right?
Speaking of that ice storm, that was the first time in my entire life I've ever seen something like that outside of a television! Every tree, power line and plant was coated in at least an inch if not more of solid ice. All of the bushes that separate our yard from the cow pasture behind our house were pulled flat from the weight of the ice and we found ourselves able to see all the way through and across the pasture without a single obstruction. It was really cool to see but we still lived in fear through that day because we had to worry about the hundreds of trees that surround our house deciding to buckle under the ice right on top of our house! Thankfully we were one of the lucky ones that didn't have to go through that but there were WAY too many people who weren't so lucky including my mother who had a branch pierce completely through her tin roof right into her room! We got it fixed enough to where the damage won't continue to worsen and theres no draft coming through now, but its going to cost quite a lot to have it repaired permanently! Thankfully the ice only stayed for a 24 hour period, melting the very next day when the sun came out otherwise we may all have been in serious trouble!
I surprisingly had a pretty good Valentine's Day, the first one I've been able to enjoy in many years. Maron went out and got me several art projects, which is one of my favorite things to do, and a new water glass that has a screw on top and a straw that you can re-wash and that has a small nob on the end so that it can't ever be pulled out of the lid by accident, you can only take it out by unscrewing the lid and pulling it from the bottom. He then made me a huge spaghetti dinner and we watched The Zookeeper with Kevin Hart and Rosario Dawson together while we ate...then of course we went to bed but it was several hours before we slept LOL I hope that everyone of my friends had a wonderful Valentine's Day too...I'll get on here asap tomorrow and let everyone know how my interview goes but tomorrow is also my son Talon's 4th birthday so we'll be out for his celebration until late! Until next time Blessed Be and ciao!
