I got to fulfill a lifelong dream today! We were told that 3 Polar Bear were sighted at P-Mountain...which is only a few miles from the main base but is still on base. Only about 2 hours later it's announced that a Polar Bear was sighted at Hanger 7...which is LITERALLY only 300' from my dorms!!!! OMFG!! NOW IS THE TIME I thought...so I rushed to the window on the 2nd floor to sit and wait to see these majestic creatures. And then, finally after about 30 minutes one of the others that were in the window with me points out 3 white spots on the hillside. AH-HA!! Todays IS the day! So I got to see, from a very safe distance...3 Polar Bear!!! Here's the pictures I took with my 300mm lens:
