This Dread Head would love to be in Bed.

We had storms here in Arkansas last night. We went to our storm cellar for safe measures, and I usually go to sleep at 8:30 pm. Needless to say, I'm really tired. We didn't get any damage in my part of the state, though. I'm in my prep period right now and I'm starving, I wonder if I can complain anymore? I haven't been posting for about a week now because, even though I have a phone, the browser doesn't seem to want to agree with the website format on here. I really hate that because I love getting to talk to all of you. I don't know how many of you use Twitter, but if you do, please feel free to follow me @DavidsonMitchie.

I tried to get my dad to take me to a rock fest in Missouri so that I could see Korn (Along with Five Finger Death Punch and Staind), but he won't, then proceeded to lecture me about my "type of music" I listen to. Apparent'y, listening to the music I do "Changes the way you think" and so it's bad for me and I need to listen to other things. This is referring to (Here's a SHORT list to give you a GENERAL idea...) bands such as Korn, Nirvana, Five Finger Death Punch, Green Day, Pearl Jam, Staind, Foo Fighters, SlipKnot, Seether, Oasis, Black Sabbath, and Rob Zombie. This is a constant thing with my father.

On a lighter, more optimistic note, I managed to receive and award for All A's all year and managed to have the highest Grade Point Average in my class (In which being a 4.05). Tomorrow and Wednesday, we have Biology End Of Course exams, so please... Wish me luck. (I freaking hate Biology.)

It makes me happy to log in and see I have, on average, about five new messages. I love getting to hear from you guys and it means a lot to me that you will take the time to message me something, even if it's short. It still means so much to me. Thank you. I hope to hear from everyone and I hope all of you guys are doing well. I'm still going to make my attempts to keep posting and keep you updated. I'm trying as hard as possible to keep my goal of staying active on our wonderful site. If you need anything, or even just want to talk, I'll always be here at one point or another.

ok so your blog titles are like the best thing ever lol Anyway, I can definitely relate to being judged, attacked or whatever you want to call it for listening to this kind of music. People literally think the lyrics are just kill kill kill which is far from the truth. There's nothing "bad" about our music so heavy metal forever \m/ lol

Congratulations on your GPA! That's good news. And, best of luck on the Biology exams (I love it, personally).

And I know what you mean in regards to the "this music changes the way you think" rhetoric. When I was a teenager, Columbine was still fresh in everyone's minds, and anyone who listened to Korn and likeminded bands was considered a potential killer. I didn't hear that from my dad, but people in general. Silly. Sometimes it's funny, though. Every once in a while I'll encounter someone who seriously believes that "listening to Mindless Self Indulgence will make you gay."
