I'm Feeling Like I'm Sinking...

One of my absolute favorite teachers walked by me this morning as I was standing by myself, and he informed me he wouldn't be here today because he had a funeral to go to. Somehow, it broke my heart hearing this. Our AP World History test is on the 15th, and that's a horrible date for me. Last summer, my great aunt passed away on June 15th. The next month, my uncle Jason died on July 15th. My cat died this year on January 15th. Shane died last month, April 15th. My grandpa, as you guys know, has a few weeks left, and it's almost the 15th. I'm honestly terrified. I won't be able to concentrate on this vital exam on that date. I've been holding back tears all morning because I'm not ready to lose someone else. Every time someone dies, I get thrown off. I'm not so great with this whole 'emotions' thing. It tears me up. And that line from Kiss by Korn gets to me this morning...

"I'm feeling like I'm sinking, and nothing's there to catch me, keep me breathing."

I'm sorry that has always been such a horrible date for you and even more sorry that you've lost your loved ones. I think the more you think about something the more it gets into your head. So don't dwell on the thought that it might be a miserable day. I'm not saying that you should have positive or joyful thoughts during that day, but just focus on getting through it, knowing that once the day's done, it's done. I'm sending positive energy your way !!

Mitchie, I hope everything will go well this week. I'm coming into line of MikeyD and FuuuriousAnger and wish you just happiness and nerve. Don't sink down there, you will always have someone to rely on. At least amongst Korn kids.

That is a great deal of loss to have to go through. My thoughts are with you, your family and especially your grandfather. Although, I wouldn't invest too much thought in the numerological side of things, as it is coincidental at the end of the day. And MikeyD said it best, those relatives would want you to spread your wings and just do the best you can, to the best of your abilities. The way through is forward.

If I could take the 15th off the calendar for you Mitchie, I would! I hope your grandfather gets better, but these things happen. I truly hope you can push through the pain and do what is best for you and your life going forward. Remember that they will always live inside of you, and will be there to help, console and push you forward! They would not want their loss to hold you down, but ultimately, it's up to you! They would want you to let go and be the best you can be!!!!!
