R.I.P. Q101

I feel like a lost an old friend who has been with me through good times and bad. They have been there through shitty break up and through awesome parties and good times with friends.

If your not from Chicago you may not know that Q101 is an awesome alternative radio station. Yes these feeling of sadness and loss are over a radio station. They have gone off the air after almost 20 years. I've been listening to them for almost my whole life. (I'm 28 as of two days ago). I truly feel like I've lost a friend. They had the greatest personalities on their station. Although I will admit I was not a big fan of Mancow. I loved listening to them every time I was in my car. In fact, they were always my #1 preset ever since I started driving. Now I have no clue what I will be listening to tomorrow and I feel a little lost. As they were our only modern rock and alternative station.

Q101 will still be doing a live stream on there website, but it doesn't feel the same. The awesome D.J.s will not be there and I won't be able to listen to it in my car. Although I will still listen when I can because they did introduce me to all of the cool new music coming out or even old music I may have missed.

Good bye old friend. Know that you are loved and you are going to be sorely missed.
